Marcel R. Coutu
Independent Director

Marcel Coutu has served as a director of Brookfield since April 2006. A resident of Calgary, Alberta, Canada,
Mr. Coutu is President and Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Oil Sands Limited and Chairman of Syncrude Canada Ltd., an integrated oil sands project. He is also a director of the Canada Life Assurance Company, Crown Life Insurance Company, London Life Insurance Company and the Great-West Lifeco Inc. Mr. Coutu is a member of the Pension and Compensation Committee of the Calgary Exhibition Stampede Board.
Maureen Kempston Darkes has served as a director of Brookfield since April 2008. A resident of Weston, Florida, U.S.A., Mrs. Kempston Darkes is a director of Canadian National Railway Company, Enbridge Inc. and Irving Oil Co. She also serves on the University of Toronto President’s International Alumni Council, is an Advisory Board member of Women’s College Hospital Foundation and is a director of the Bridgepoint Health Foundation.
Mrs. Kempston Darkes is the retired Group Vice President and President, Latin America, Africa and Middle East, General Motors Corporation.
Trevor Eyton has served as a director of Brookfield since September 1979. A resident of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Mr. Eyton is Chairman and a director of Ivernia Inc. and Silver Bear Resources Inc. He is also a director of Magna International Inc., Levon Resources Ltd. and Altus Group Income Fund, as well as Honorary Chairman of Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame and a Governor of the Canadian Olympic Foundation.

James Gray has served as a director of Brookfield since April 1997. A resident of Calgary, Alberta, Canada,
Mr. Gray is a director of Atlanta Gold Inc., Cequence Energy Ltd., Phoenix Technology Services Inc. and RS Technologies Inc. He is also Honorary Chairman of the Canada West Foundation and a founder and former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Hunter Exploration Ltd.
