Brascan Adjustable Rate Trust I

The Brascan Adjustable Rate Trust I is an investment trust established in August 2005 to provide unitholders with exposure to a portfolio comprised primarily of mortgage-backed securities ("MBS") with implied or actual AAA ratings issued or guaranteed
by US Agencies or issued by other financial institutions. Up to 20% of the Trust may be invested in other investment grade mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities ("ABS").

The Trust is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol BAO.UN.
