Chris Harris is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Global Client Group, responsible for client relations in the Western United States.

Prior to joining Brookfield in 2010, Mr. Harris was a director with Macquarie and before that, Citi. In 2005, he was appointed a Trustee to the Arizona State Retirement System. During his seven years on the $30 billion plan, his service included roles as Vice Chairman of the Investment Committee and the Trustee Representative on the private markets, real estate and private equity sub-committees. During his tenure, he helped spearhead a new investment policy statement, streamlined governance policies with regards to manager selection and was involved in two tactical asset allocation surveys and implementations.

Mr. Harris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona. He currently serves on the National Board of Advisors at the University of Arizona Eller Business School and on a number of other non-profit committees and boards.
