Rafael Thor is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group responsible for the group’s legal function in Brazil. He also works closely with our Brazilian portfolio companies, providing support on transaction execution as well as legal and regulatory matters. 

Prior to joining Brookfield in 2020, Mr. Thor worked at leading law firms in New York and Brazil.

Mr. Thor holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Chicago Law School and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro.
