Carolyn Bidwell

Carolyn Bidwell is Head of Tax for Brookfield's Credit Group as well as Head of U.S. Tax for Brookfield Asset Management. In this role, she leads the Credit Group’s global tax function, including tax planning and strategy, structuring, risk management, tax authority audits and compliance, and tax-related legislative and regulatory initiatives.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2014, Ms. Bidwell was an associate at the law firms of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and Clifford Chance, where she represented private equity funds and public and private companies in M&A, dispositions, joint ventures, restructurings, and fund structuring.
Ms. Bidwell holds a Juris Doctor degree from Columbia University School of Law and a Bachelor of Laws degree from University College London. Ms. Bidwell serves as a committee member of the Real Estate Roundtable, the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives and several other industry groups. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way of New York City.
