Jani Venter is a Managing Director and Head of Solutions for the Global Defined Contribution (DC) team at Brookfield. In this role, she leads product innovation and develops investment solutions that expand access to private markets within DC plans.

Prior to joining Brookfield in 2026, Ms. Venter served as head of DC real estate solutions at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where she was a senior member of the DC fund management team. Ms. Venter has extensive investment industry experience, leading client and product strategy for DC private markets solutions, as well as playing a key role in the development and growth of these solutions within DC plans.

Ms. Venter holds a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Bachelor's degrees in Building Science and Architecture from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Defined Contribution Alternatives Association (DCALTA) and as Chair of the Defined Contribution Committee at the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives. Ms. Venter was previously Co-President of the Defined Contribution Real Estate Council (DCREC) and Co-Chair of the Defined Contribution Affinity Group at the Pension Real Estate Association.
