In 2023, we completed the full acquisition of X-ELIO, a global solar energy developer. The business is a global leader with a long track record and expertise in the full solar development process, including site acquisition, interconnection, permitting, and commercialization. 

Today, solar is one of the very cheapest and most versatile electricity generating sources, capable of being developed in multiple regions and territories.

In 2016, we acquired Holtwood’s two hydro stations in Pennsylvania with 296 MW of capacity—enough to power more than 100,000 homes annually. Holtwood benefits from synergies with our Safe Harbor facility, as well as from stable revenues, long-term operating licenses, and a market that is facing significant coal retirements.

In 2025, Holtwood and Safe Harbor were contracted to provide clean power to Google as the inaugural contracts in a Hydro Framework Agreement which is the largest of its kind in the world.

OnPath Energy is one of the U.K.’s leading onshore renewable energy developers, managing wind, solar, and energy storage facilities across England and Scotland. OnPath's projects generate enough electricity to power up to 240,000 UK homes annually.
