Luiz Lopes is a Senior Advisor to Brookfield in Brazil, advising on strategic engagements and other initiatives to support business development in the region.

Previously, Mr. Lopes was Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Brazil from 2007 to 2017 and Vice Chair from 2017 to 2025. Prior to joining Brookfield in 1994, Mr. Lopes was Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Magliano CTVM, as well as a Managing Director of Fiat Leasing and Banco Fiat.

Mr. Lopes is Chairman of the Board of Directors of BRK Ambiental and a member of the Board of Directors of Tegra Incorporadora. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Vice Chairman of the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI), and a member of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Symphonic Orchestra and the International Advisory Board of Fundação Dom Cabral.
