Michael Layfield is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group.  In this role, he leads the group's tax activities in the U.S.

Prior to joining Brookfield in 2017, Mr. Layfield was an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, where his practice focused on private equity transactions and fund formation.

Mr. Layfield holds a Juris Doctor degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia.
