Michael Trefz is a Managing Partner and Co-Head of the Americas for Brookfield’s Global Client Group. In this role, he is responsible for credit-oriented client relationships and capital raising activities across North America.

Prior to this role, Mr. Trefz was a managing director and Head of Capital Formation for the Americas at Oaktree. Previously, he was a managing director with Solus Alternative Asset Management, where he covered institutional clients for the firm’s offerings, including distressed debt, special situations and performing credit strategies.

Mr. Trefz holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut and is a CFA charterholder.
