Torben Dunkel is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Global Client Group. He serves as Co-Head of DACEE, overseeing the institutional client coverage team across Germany, Austria, and Central and Eastern Europe.

Mr. Dunkel joined Oaktree in 2025 in its EMEA capital formation team, where he covered Germany and Austria, and focused on insurance, pension and family wealth investors. Prior to Oaktree, he served as the Head of Europe at Aviva Investors and led the sales team across the Nordics, Germany, Austria, the Benelux and southern Europe. He started his career at J.P. Morgan Asset Management.

Mr. Dunkel holds an Executive Master of Business Administration degree and Master of Laws from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. He is a CAIA charterholder and native German speaker.
