Venkat Kannan is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Global Client Group. In this role, he is responsible for managing the finance and operations team for the group, as well as financial planning and analysis within Brookfield Asset Management.

Prior to joining Brookfield in 2019, Mr. Kannan held progressively senior roles in Toronto and Singapore at Canadian asset management firm Mackenzie Investments. He was previously a part of the audit and assurance practice at Deloitte in Toronto and Hong Kong.

Mr. Kannan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.
