Venkat Kannan is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Credit Group. In this role, he oversees the functions within the investment operations team. He also manages certain private fund operational teams in Brookfield’s regional offices. Mr. Kannan previously led the financial planning and analysis team, as well as managed the finance and operations function for Brookfield’s Global Client Group.

Prior to joining Brookfield in 2019, Mr. Kannan held progressively senior roles in Toronto and Singapore at Canadian asset management firm Mackenzie Investments. He was previously a part of the audit and assurance practice at Deloitte in Toronto and Hong Kong.

Mr. Kannan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.
