In 2021, Brookfield acquired Selenta Hospitality Group, a Spanish hotel owner and operator with assets located in premier Spanish hospitality markets. This was a unique opportunity to enter some of Spain’s most in-demand and high-barrier-to-entry markets, with an established management platform and the opportunity to expand in southern Europe.
