Cyrus Madon is a Managing Partner, head of Brookfield’s Private Equity Group and Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Business Partners. In this role, he is responsible for investments, operations and the expansion of the Private Equity business.
Mr. Madon joined Brookfield in 1998 and since then has held a number of senior roles across the organization.
Mr. Madon holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University. He is also on the board of the C.D. Howe Institute.
President Private Equity, Head of Business Development
Anuj Ranjan is President of Brookfield’s Private Equity business and Global Head of Business Development. In these roles, Mr. Ranjan is responsible for Brookfield’s Private Equity investments and operations and leads the coordination and building of the Firm’s relationships with larger companies and families globally.
Mr. Ranjan joined Brookfield in 2006 and has held various positions within the company and its affiliates, including mergers & acquisitions, private equity and real estate. He also established Brookfield’s India and Middle East operations.
Mr. Ranjan holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Ivey Business School at Western University and Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta.
Onaiza Ahmed is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, Ms. Ahmed is responsible for leading the Brookfield Business Partners financial reporting and corporate controller teams. She oversees all aspects of technical accounting and public financial reporting and manages the external audit process, the onboarding of financial reporting for portfolio companies and supports Brookfield’s companies on technical accounting matters.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2019, Ms. Ahmed worked for a multinational professional services partnership.
Ms. Ahmed holds a Master of Management and Professional Accounting from the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management, a Bachelor of Administrative and Commercial Studies degree from Western University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
David Aiken is a Managing Partner in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group, responsible for overseeing Brookfield’s Long Term Equities strategy. He has held several roles across the Private Equity Group, including Head of LATAM and Chief Investment Officer for the industrials segment.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2007, Mr. Aiken worked in investment banking in New York, focused on restructuring and leveraged finance.
Mr. Aiken holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University.
Nicholas Apostolatos is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he is responsible for investment origination, analysis and execution in the healthcare sector.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2022, Mr. Apostolatos served as a managing director at Barclays, where he was responsible for healthcare services investment banking. Mr. Apostolatos was previously a managing director in the healthcare investment banking group at Morgan Stanley where he began his career as an analyst in 1998.
Mr. Apostolatos holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College.
Anthony Bavaro is a Managing Director, and Chief Operating Officer and Risk Manager of Brookfield’s Special Investments business. In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of operational fund management, risk reporting and tracking. Additionally, he works across Brookfield’s businesses assisting with trade execution, settlement and fund origination.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2014, Mr. Bavaro was Chief Financial Officer and Partner at Sandell Asset Management, responsible for financial reporting, operations and back office administration.
Mr. Bavaro holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wagner College and is a New York State licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Doug Bayerd is a Managing Partner in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he is responsible for investment origination, analysis and execution in the technology and software sectors.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2021, Mr. Bayerd was a Principal at Marlin Equity Partners where he led transactions in technology with an emphasis in enterprise software. Prior to Marlin, Mr. Bayerd worked at Golden Gate Capital, where he focused on software and business services sectors. He also worked in the special situations division of Oaktree Capital Management and began his career at Deutsche Bank, working on leveraged finance and financial sponsor mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Bayerd holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Ron Bloom is a Managing Partner and Vice Chair in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group, responsible for investment origination, analysis and execution across North America.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2016, Mr. Bloom was Vice Chairman, U.S. Investment Banking, at Lazard, focused on restructurings, and mergers and acquisitions. He previously served as Assistant to the President for Manufacturing Policy where he provided leadership on policy development and strategic planning for the Administration’s agenda to revitalize the manufacturing sector. Before joining the White House, Mr. Bloom served as Senior Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury.
Mr. Bloom holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University.
David Bonasia is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he is responsible for operational and financial oversight of portfolio companies in the Americas. Mr. Bonasia has held various positions across the organization including investment origination and execution within the technology services sector, value creation and strategy as a member of the business operations team and investment analysis across deals in the industrial and business services sectors.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2015, Mr. Bonasia held roles in private equity and investment banking, with a focus on M&A and complex restructurings.
Mr. Bonasia holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree from Western University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
Andrew Brausa is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group and leads the Homebuilder Capital platform as well as pursuits under the Land & Housing sector in Brookfield’s Real Estate portfolio. In this role, Mr. Brausa is primarily responsible for sourcing, underwriting and managing financing opportunities in the residential for-sale real estate market and the broader Land & Housing portfolio.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2017, Mr. Brausa held senior investment roles at various global firms focused on the real estate sector across credit, equity and special situations.
Mr. Brausa earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Bucknell University.
Anamica Broetz is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, she is responsible for investor relations and fundraising for Brookfield Sponsor Solutions business.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2023, Ms. Broetz was global head of PE fundraising and investor relations at DWS Private Equity, where she successfully led the fundraising of several commingled funds across multiple strategies including secondaries, co-investments, fund of funds and private credit. She was also a voting member on the PE Investment Committee. Prior to DWS, Ms. Broetz held several capital markets roles with firms including Deutsche Bank M&A, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, Flemings and Peregrine Capital.
Ms. Broetz holds a Masters in Finance degree from Delhi University and a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce of Delhi University.
Ed Brogan is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he leads legal activities in Europe, including transaction origination and execution. He also supports the portfolio management team, serving as a key contact for portfolio companies in Europe.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2015, Mr. Brogan was a senior associate with a leading international law firm.

Len Chersky is a Managing Partner in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group, responsible for investment origination, analysis and execution in the Asia Pacific region.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2013, Mr. Chersky was Executive Director at Lend Lease Corporation. He previously held a number of senior positions in investment banking and financial services as well as executive roles in major listed organizations in Australia.
Mr. Chersky holds Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Law degrees from the University of New South Wales.
Munish Dayal is a Managing Director in Brookfield's Private Equity Group, responsible for business operations in India.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2020, Mr. Dayal was a Partner at Baring Private Equity Partners India, President at Yes Bank and Managing Director at Citibank. He has served on the Board of Directors of multiple portfolio companies and as a member of board sub-committees.
Mr. Dayal holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Delhi and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce of Delhi University. He completed the Stanford Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and is a regular guest speaker at Harvard University.
Jaspreet Dehl is a Managing Partner and Chief Financial Officer in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. Ms. Dehl has held a number of senior finance positions, within Brookfield’s Private Equity and Private Funds groups.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2011, Ms. Dehl was part of the financial advisory services practice at Deloitte, specializing in corporate restructuring services and transaction execution services to private equity clients.
Ms. Dehl holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Jeffrey Dutton is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group, responsible for business operations, as well as due diligence within target business segments.
Mr. Dutton joined Brookfield in 2013 from one of Brookfield’s operating subsidiaries. He held senior management positions at several companies in the pulp and paper industry. and has led the turnaround initiatives of several portfolio companies.

Karly Dyck is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, she is responsible for leading finance initiatives including financial reporting, treasury and corporate operations functions in Europe.
Ms. Dyck joined Brookfield in 2012 and has worked across the organization in progressively senior finance roles. Prior to Brookfield, Ms. Dyck worked in the assurance and transaction advisory division of Ernst & Young.
Ms. Dyck holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Manitoba, is a Chartered Accountant and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Alan Fleming is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he oversees investor relations for Brookfield Business Partners and leads the financial planning and strategic forecasting function for the Private Equity Group.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2019, Mr. Fleming was a senior equity research analyst at Citigroup where he focused on coverage of the U.S. industrials sector.

Anthony Gardner is a Managing Partner in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group, responsible for investment origination, analysis and execution in Europe.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2020, Mr. Gardner served on the board of Brookfield Business Partners. He previously served as U.S. Ambassador to the European Union, spent several years on the leadership team of Palamon Capital Partners, and in the leveraged finance and M&A groups of Bank of America and GE Capital, respectively. He has also worked at international law firms in London, Paris, New York and Brussels.
Mr. Gardner holds a Master of Finance degree from London Business School, a Juris Doctor degree from Columbia Law School, a Master of Philosophy degree from Oxford University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University. He is also a member of the board of Iberdrola S.A.
Karen Garza is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, she is responsible for oversight of the operational and financial performance of portfolio companies acquired by Brookfield and due diligence on prospective investments.
Ms. Garza joined Brookfield in 2018, following Brookfield’s acquisition of Lehman Brothers U.K. Holdings, where she served as President. Ms. Garza was previously a managing director with LM + Co, a boutique turnaround and restructuring firm, where she led engagements and value creation opportunities across industries.
Ms. Garza holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University. She is a Certified Turnaround Professional candidate and is Lean Six Sigma certified.
Hermes González-Bello is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he is responsible for business operations and management of portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2022, Mr. González-Bello held several senior management roles at Danaher, most recently as President, Hach. He also served as President PALL Industrial, President Aquafine and President Hach Environmental. Mr. González-Bello began his career at Emerson in the process instrumentation and solutions group. He has also served the U.S. Department of Commerce as a standing member of the Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee between 2009–15.
Mr. González-Bello holds Master of Science and Bachelor of Engineering degrees from Stevens Institute of Technology.
David Grosman is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group, responsible for leading the global tax function. He has held a number of tax-related positions across the organization.

Kristen Haase is Managing Partner in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, she is responsible for the legal aspects of transaction execution for North America.

Greg Horan is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he is responsible for operational support, including the development of operational value creation and business plans during the due diligence phase and for the oversight of portfolio companies post acquisition.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2018, Mr. Horan was a site manager at one of our portfolio companies and held various management positions in the mining and infrastructure industries.

Anish Jain is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. He is a member of its business operations team and is responsible for supporting execution and transformation within portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2020, Mr. Jain was CEO of TSS, a Texas oilfield-services supply chain and logistics company, and served as an operations advisor to Blackstone, Carlyle, Apollo, and Energy Capital Partners on various energy and infrastructure transactions. He has also held roles in industrial businesses running finance, strategic planning, corporate development, international operations, and investor relations functions. Mr. Jain began his career in investment banking with UBS in New York City, and then private equity with Temasek Holdings in Singapore.

Aditya Joshi is a Managing Partner in Brookfield's Private Equity Group and heads the private equity business for Brookfield in India and the Middle East. In this role, Mr. Joshi is responsible for private equity strategy, including deal sourcing and execution, and portfolio monitoring.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2019, Mr. Joshi was a Principal at Apax Partners where he was involved in deals in the healthcare, technology services and financial services sectors. He also worked at Blackstone covering technology and business services, and at Morgan Stanley, working on fundraising, and mergers and acquisitions across various industries.
Mr. Joshi holds a Master of Business Administration degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pune. Paul Lepage is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he is responsible for due diligence, operational and financial performance of Brookfield target and portfolio companies broadly, with particular focus on the healthcare, technology and software sectors.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2021, Mr. Lepage served as President and CEO of Intelerad Medical Systems. He was previously President of TELUS Health and Payment Solutions and Chairman of TELUS Ventures. He also was President and CEO of MediSolution (a Brookfield Portfolio Company).
Mr. Lepage holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University, a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree from École Polytechnique at University of Montreal and the ICD.D designation from the Rotman School of Management at University of Toronto. Adrian Letts is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he is responsible for oversight of investments in Europe.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2022, Mr. Letts held various senior leadership roles including CEO of OVO Energy and Managing Director of Tesco Online as well as a number of management positions in the telecom, media and technology industries.

Nicole Lichowit is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group, responsible for Human Resources globally. In this role, she leads the group’s efforts around attracting, developing and retaining team members, as well as contributing to leadership development initiatives for Brookfield Asset Management.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2018, Ms. Lichowit held senior Human Resource leadership roles in various global corporations, including most recently, as Global Vice President at Celestica.
Ms. Lichowit holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Royal Roads University, Master and Bachelor of Social Work, and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of British Columbia, and is Human Resources Compensation Committee Certified by McMaster University.
Amanda Marshall is a Managing Director and head of tax for Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, she oversees all aspects of tax globally for the group, including tax planning and structuring for new investments, optimizing tax outcomes for portfolio companies, ongoing tax compliance and reporting, and supporting tax positions for strategic transactions.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2022, Ms. Marshall was a partner in M&A tax services at a professional services firm.
Ms. Marshall holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants.
Mark McDonald is a Managing Director and co-head of Brookfield’s Sponsor Solutions (BSS) business, focused on providing asset-based solutions to mid-market sponsor backed companies, usually in the form of equity capital to support further growth via M&A, add-ons, minority equity and GP-led secondaries transactions. Mr. McDonald joined Brookfield in 2023 as part of Brookfield’s acquisition of DWS’ private equity solutions business.
Prior to Brookfield, Mr. McDonald was global head of the private equity business for DWS. He was also on the firm’s global leadership team and a board member of DWS Alternatives Global Ltd. Prior to DWS, Mr. McDonald held several direct and secondaries private equity roles for firms including Barclays Capital, 3i, Pomona Capital, Keyhaven Capital Partners and Credit Suisse, where he was global head of secondary advisory.
Mr. McDonald holds a Master of Business Administration degree from SDA Bocconi, Milan and an Honors degree from the University of Leeds. He is also a member of the Institute of Directors and the Royal Institute of International Affairs at Chatham House in London.
Sean McLaughlan is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he is responsible for investment origination, execution and portfolio management. He has previously served in various leadership capacities within Brookfield portfolio companies.

David Nowak is a Managing Partner in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group, responsible for investment origination, analysis and execution across North America.
Mr. Nowak joined Brookfield in 2011 and has deep experience in principal investing and the execution of mergers and acquisitions. He chairs the board of directors of One Toronto and Scientific Games.

Erson Olivan is a Managing Partner in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he is responsible for due diligence, transaction execution and monitoring, and valuation of investment opportunities.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2010, Mr. Olivan worked at a leading global investment bank, where he was involved in a number of mergers and acquisitions advisory mandates, as well as multiple private and public financings.

Ivan Peytchev is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he is responsible for investment origination and execution as well as portfolio management of Brookfield’s Long-Term Equity strategy.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2021, Mr. Peytchev was a senior principal at Onex Partners, where he focused on transactions in the industrial, services and consumer sectors. Mr. Peytchev previously worked for the investment banking division of Citigroup Global Markets, focusing on leveraged buyouts and acquisition financing across a variety of industries.

Josh Raffaelli is a Managing Partner on Brookfield’s Growth team. In this role, he is responsible for oversight of its technology-enabled investing initiatives.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2017, Mr. Raffaelli was a Managing Director at Silver Lake and a Principal at Draper Fisher Jurvetson, after starting his career at JPMorgan.

Ralf Rank is a Managing Partner in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role he is responsible for the development of portfolio company business, regional investing and fund strategies. Mr. Rank has held a number of roles across the organization, most recently serving as Chief Investment Officer of the Private Equity Group.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2007, Mr. Rank was an Associate Director, Investment Banking, at a leading Canadian investment bank with an industry specialization in infrastructure, power and utilities in Europe.

Sophia Rihani is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group and head of transactions in the Business Services and Industrials Group for the Asia Pacific region. Ms. Rihani is responsible for the negotiation and execution of large-scale complex transactions spanning public and private mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, restructures, joint ventures and major projects.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2013, Ms. Rihani worked as a solicitor at King & Wood Mallesons in their Sydney and Perth offices.

Todd Roland is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. He is a member of the Brookfield Sponsor Solutions (BSS) team with responsibility for investment origination, analysis and execution across a variety of sectors in North America.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2023, Mr. Roland was an executive director at GCM Grosvenor in its direct and co-investment private equity business. He previously was a vice president at Houlihan Lokey, where he served as lead manager on advisory assignments for public and private clients.

Michael Rudnick is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he is responsible for global transaction structuring and execution of our Special Investments Fund.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2019, Mr. Rudnick was a vice president at H/2 Capital Management, where he focused on special situations investments. Mr. Rudnick began his career as a restructuring associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.
Mr. Rudnick holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University.
Angelo Rufino is a Managing Partner in Brookfield's Private Equity Group and Group Head and Chief Investment Officer of Brookfield Special Investments. In that capacity, he is responsible for non-control debt and equity investment activities globally. Mr. Rufino previously served as Portfolio Manager and Co-Head of Brookfield’s Credit Opportunities Business.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2014, Mr. Rufino worked at Brigade Capital Management where he was a founding member of the distressed credit and special situations group in addition to a Sector Head covering autos, industrials and business services. Previously, Mr. Rufino worked in the investment banking division at JPMorgan Chase and began his career at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. Rufino is a Director of Superior Plus Corporation and Primary Wave.

Nick Sammut is a Managing Director on Brookfield’s Growth team. In this role, he leads investing activities, including sourcing, executing and managing assets.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2017, Mr. Sammut worked for Generate Capital, where he sourced, structured, underwrote and closed principal investments in the energy infrastructure, waste, water and renewables sectors. Previously, he was a private equity investor at Fortress Investment Group and was in equity research at Goldman Sachs.
Mr. Sammut holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University.
Dev Santani is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he is responsible for the Brookfield Special Investments business and oversight of opportunistic and private credit opportunities in India, Middle East and Asia Pacific.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2014, Mr. Santani worked for AIG Global Real Estate.
Mr. Santani holds a Master of Management Studies degree from the University of Mumbai and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Jordan Sawkin is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. He is the Co-Head of Brookfield Sponsor Solutions business. In this role, he is responsible for investment origination, analysis, and execution across a variety of sectors globally.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2023, Mr. Sawkin was a senior principal at DWS Private Equity, where he was responsible for the sourcing and execution of transactions in the U.S. and Europe. Prior to DWS, Mr. Sawkin was a senior associate at Grosvenor Capital Management, where his responsibilities included direct, co-investments and secondaries transactions across private equity and energy/infrastructure asset classes. Prior to joining GCM, he was an investment analyst within Credit Suisse’s private equity group.
Mr. Sawkin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of Wooster.
Kumar Shah is Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he is responsible for investment origination, analysis and execution.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2020, Mr. Shah was a managing director and founder of a growth-stage investment firm and built the investment programs for growth-stage enterprise and consumer technology investments at Transit Capital, Micromax and GEF Capital.
Mr. Shah holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Mumbai.
Pramod Shukla is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group, responsible for business operations and management of portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2019, Mr. Shukla was Chief Operating Officer at Essar Steel Algoma. He also held several executive operations roles at Essar Steel and TATA Steel, where he executed large brownfield and greenfield expansion projects.
Mr. Shukla has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management degree from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) Varanasi.
Judah Siegal is a Managing Director on Brookfield’s Growth team. In this role, he is responsible for sourcing, executing and managing technology-enabled investments. He has held several roles across the organization, including investment and strategic initiatives for Brookfield’s Real Estate Group.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2012, Mr. Siegal worked for Citigroup’s real estate investment banking division.
Mr. Siegal holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
A.J. Silber is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he is responsible for various legal, regulatory and corporate governance functions for our business, the Brookfield Business Partners board and many of our portfolio companies.
Mr. Silber joined Brookfield in 2012 and was previously responsible for legal matters relating to Brookfield Asset Management, including corporate finance, securities, corporate actions and governance. Prior to Brookfield, he worked at the law firms Torys LLP in Toronto and Ropes & Gray LLP in New York.
Mr. Silber holds a joint Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University. Mr. Silber is called to the Bar of Ontario and New York.
Ryan Szainwald is a Managing Partner in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group, responsible for global transaction execution and strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2016, Mr. Szainwald was a Partner with a leading Canadian law firm, where his practice focused on corporate finance, public mergers and acquisitions, and private equity transactions.
Mr. Szainwald holds a joint Master of Business Administration/Bachelor of Laws degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University and Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto.
Alexandre Thiollier is a Managing Partner in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group, responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing investment opportunities in Brazil. Prior to his current role, Mr. Thiollier was responsible for coordinating Brookfield’s investment platform in Latin America and interim CEO at one of Brookfield’s portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2017, Mr. Thiollier covered Latin America for Cartesian Capital Group and Capital International Private Equity and held investment advisory positions at Bear Stearns and Spectrum Strategy Consultants.
Mr. Thiollier received a Master of Business Administration degree from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Pontificia Universidade Catolica in São Paulo.
Tristan Tully is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group and heads the private equity business for Brookfield in Europe. In this role, Mr. Tully is responsible for private equity strategy, including deal sourcing, execution and portfolio monitoring in Europe.
Mr. Tully joined Brookfield in 2014, and since then has held a number of roles. Prior to Brookfield, he was an associate at Clayton Dubilier & Rice and an analyst at Deutsche Bank.
Mr. Tully holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University.
Denis Turcotte is a Managing Partner in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group, responsible for operational and financial oversight for portfolio companies. Mr. Turcotte joined Brookfield in 2017, having served as a member of the Brookfield Asset Management Private Equity Advisory Board and the Brookfield Business Partners’ board of directors.
Prior to joining Brookfield, Mr. Turcotte held several roles, including Principal with North Channel Management and Capital Partners, CEO of Algoma Steel, and President of the Paper Group and EVP Corporate Development and Planning with Tembec.
Mr. Turcotte holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Lakehead University.
Alex Yang is a Managing Director and head of Greater China for Brookfield’s Private Equity Group and Infrastructure Group. He is responsible for the origination, execution and operation of investments in the region.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2021, Mr. Yang was a Senior Managing Director at Blackstone Private Equity Group based in Hong Kong, a principal at TPG Capital based in Beijing, an associate at Morgan Stanley Investment Banking Division based in New York and an attorney at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He previously served on the boards of Global Sources, Shya Hsin Packaging, Essel Propack and HCP Packaging.
Mr. Yang holds a Juris Doctor degree from University of Minnesota Law School, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Law degree from Peking University in China.
Frank Yu is a Managing Partner in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group, responsible for investment origination, analysis and execution in the Brookfield Special Investments Fund.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2019, Mr. Yu worked in the tactical opportunities group at Blackstone, the mezzanine finance group at Oaktree Capital Management and began his career in investment banking at Moelis & Company and Rothschild Inc.
Mr. Yu holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
Katie Zorbas is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, she is responsible for capital raising, co-investment syndication and investor relations for Brookfield’s private equity funds.
Ms. Zorbas joined Brookfield in 2008, and was previously responsible for investment valuation, due diligence and asset management.
Ms. Zorbas holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
